For over two decades, he has been the founder and creative force behind Combustion Studio in São Paulo, Brazil, where we shape sound into story and story into sensation. Our studio crafts original music, sound design, and sonic identities for brands, filmmakers, and creators who want to cut through the noise—always seeking that deeper resonance that connects with something essential in the listener.

Marcelo had the privilege of collaborating with global icons—Apple, Google, BMW, Coca-Cola, Opera, Atlético de Madrid, Microsoft, and many more—always focusing on the craft and pushing the boundaries of what music and sound can achieve. Each project becomes an exploration of how sonic aesthetics can carry meaning, emotion, and even transcendence.

Beyond the studio, he has shared insights as a speaker at leading festivals like OFFF Barcelona, DDD Milano, and Pixel Show, and led workshops across Europe and Brazil, often exploring the philosophical dimensions of sound and its role in shaping human perception.

When Marcelo is not immersed in client work, he writes about the aesthetics of sound, the philosophy of creative practice, and the ways faith and meaning intersect with artistic expression. These reflections often find their way back into my creative process, informing how we approach each sonic challenge.

Today, Marcelo continues to direct Combustion Studio’s creative vision, developing new sonic worlds with a passionate team and a global network of collaborators.
